Millions of people all over the world wake up each morning with a cup of coffee. Although it is known that coffee has properties that stimulate and can help a few people feel more alert, there are a few other health concerns that have come about from drinking too much coffee. Studies have shown some of the results of drinking coffee in moderate amounts may be advantageous to us. Yet some of the other effects of drinking large doses of coffee may be doing more harm to your health than good. This post will examine some of the effects that coffee drinking might have.

Roasted coffee contains methylpyridinium, a very powerful antioxidant. This particular antioxidant isn't known to be present in large amounts within any other food type. Methylpyridinium can even protect the body from some forms of cancer.

Coronary artery disease, or heart disease, is a very serious disease that researchers have said is caused by drinking huge sums of coffee. The research tells about how coffee drinking can be linked to the higher of the markers in the body that have to do with inflammation. In most cases, studies showed the inflammation negatively affects the cardiovascular system. These large amounts of caffeine can greatly increase cholesterol levels, which is a huge factor for raising the risk of coronary artery disease. It was also discovered that a lot of those negatively affected patients were also had other factors that can cause heart disease, such as smoking, drinking heavy amounts of alcohol and living a sedentary lifestyle. Though no studies have been conducted it is a widely held belief that caffeine increases the risk of high blood pressure. Because coffee is a stimulant, people who drink too much may feel anxious or irritable. For some people, it becomes more difficult to resist stress after drinking coffee. Stress and anxiety are suddenly felt over little things that normally wouldn't bother people. Some of the symptoms may be higher than normal blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, and a rapid heart rate. Those who drink too much coffee are especially susceptible.

Aside from the health aspect of drinking coffee, it can also play a dramatic part in cosmetic appearance. Regularly consuming coffee can lead to stained teeth that are brown, yellow, or unevenly colored. Dry skin can often be the result of dehydration by drinking too much coffee. Wrinkles in the hands and face are often the first visible sign if dry skin. Dry skin can further be recognized in the appearance of stretch marks or in stretch marks become more visible. According to the latest research, coffee in moderation is good for health. It's also important to understand that too much coffee, more than three cups daily, is bad for you. Make sure you don't attempt to drink more than two or three cups per day. When you do this you will be able to live a longer and healthier life.
